the eye of Nova's mind

The Shit Creek Review releases its thirteenth issue. I am fortunate enough to have one of my poems, "Chance," included alongside such high-quality work.

twenty20 Journal has released its second issue. My short poem "Operandi" features there. (twenty20 accepts work 20 words or fewer. One's bio also has to fit within those bounds. If you can accomplish both, I would recommend submitting. The editor is hands-on & very responsive.)

The Flea, back from a near-year hiatus, publishes my piece "Azrael" in its twelfth broadsheet. The journal showcases formal poetry & is presented in a quirky, antiquated style.

Inspired by a discussion started by blue_thundering, I decided to submit a batch of poems to mad swirl. As the editors have published work by me in the past, I think I have a good shot.

I also have work pending notification at Third Wednesday and The Ambassador Poetry Project.

I've posted a couple of rejection letters on my LJ behind a friends lock over the last six or so months. I got a really in-depth rejection/acceptance letter from Möbius when I was 16, but I don't know if I still have that or not.

mad swirl is a very welcoming market, especially for entries off the beaten path. Also, the response time for submissions is lickety-split.

The initial print run for Micropleasure was a small number of copies, a gift from my editor. I gave a copy to sarahmichigan, and then I didn't know what to do with them. Ultimately, I decided to give a few copies to family members and send the rest off for review.

Literary House Review will publish "That Handsome Rogue" in its second edition, which will come out in July.

In about fifteen minutes, I will have honey teriyaki salmon over jasmine rice.

Also, finally, I'm going to start sending out poetry again (after about a two-month hiatus).

mad swirl picked up three more of my poems ("Asymptote", "Found Poem: Who Thinks Abstractly? Complete Transcript" & "Nonsense"). Additionally, "Nonsense" was featured in their Poetry Forum.
