I am taking a break from updating my resume. Too long of a break, actually. Need to get back to work.

Something I wrote in my fragments, 8/2/05:

It is my fear of drowning that keeps me from learning how to swim. Fear operates in the absence of faith and trust. If I trusted myself more, perhaps I could learn how to swim.

This is something I mentioned to F on the phone after I'd seen The Matrix Reloaded:

"Is love the genesis of choice?"

I think that's the ultimate question distilled from the movie. And it's a worthy question. Can love trump the mechanisms of fate? In my mystical experience, I would have to say yes. While I can never know for certain, I feel that the soul trumps death because of its love, its yearning, for God.

And the perception of rhythm necessarily precedes the apperception of language.

(So, does that mean that, in poetry, the rhythm supercedes the vocabulary?)
