I suspect so. Can not people be in love with love?

I'm pretty sure not, simply because love (other than narcissicism, which I don't feel is truly love but something else) is generally about other, so that, even though I do feel that one must love oneself in order to be able to love others... um...

Or on the other hand, that love does love itself as a natural part of its function, always there and generally subliminal until somebody asks a question like this that forces one to take a look at the actual behavior- but not in a way that is self-reflecting or detrimental to that love or the object of that love-

If love starts being proud of itself- look how I love this (person/thing/whatever), then it instantly starts turning from love into pride or somethng else other than love, and the longer it continues in this, the more it is that other thing and the less that it is love, until it is not love at all, regardless of what it might look like on the outside.

But is love just a concept?

Love is a lived emotion. In that sense, it is more than an abstract concept. It's part of our real-life experience. I daresay that if love is merely a concept to one, one has distanced oneself from a very vital part of one's being.

Seems to me this is still a personification of chemical and physical reactions.
