I know what first popped into my head, but it's not for public forums

I can make this friends only. I thought I'd throw the question out publicly since I didn't get many responses the last time. :)

What is there that you haven't already shared?

Heh. How should I take that? :)

There's lots, I suppose. I'm not one who generally volunteers information (though much of my news this week has been an exception).

True. I have learned more about you in the last week than I found out in several years at Grinnell.

But I guess I should rephrase: What haven't you told us that's important?

I can't predict the future. It's a lot easier to answer "truth" questions when they refer to things that have already happened.

I am taking steps, however. I'm not going to get into details until they come to pass. But I am taking steps.

By the way, have you actually logged into your account? I have a lot of entries from this week that are friends only that you'd be very interested to read.

Also, questions like these aren't encouraging; they're belligerent. Questions like these aren't likely to get me to stop; they're likely to make me defensive and stubborn.

Just telling the truth.

Id rather have you thinking that i am belligerent, than to loose you, you are important to me and many others and your use is nothing short of something that is going to kill you and I wont sit around and watch you die! Call me what you want but you are in trouble and you goddamn well know that! I love you and I am very worried.

ok Iread all of your private posts and it does look like you are making some progress, but I know you, and I know that you are going to find all of this very difficult, wish i was back in michegan to support you but Ill have to be content being belligerent from a distance.

Being difficult isn't going to make things easier for me. Please understand this.

Of course it's going to be tough; I know this. Even if you were here, that wouldn't necessarily make things easier. This is an internal struggle, and I'm working my way up to the challenge.

It took awhile for me to get to this point. It's going to take awhile to get back to some sense of normalcy.

I'm not big into money. I've been poor all my life. I don't have any dreams to "strike it rich". Most of the stories I hear about money is that it makes you more miserable.

I like sex, but I haven't had it in a while.

Ice cream is good, but I'm trying to avoid it because I'm looking to lose weight. This goes for chocolate, too. (Chocolate ice cream is my favorite; I have a huge weakness for Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie.)

I like sleep, but I've been doing it too much (or, alternatively, not enough). My substance use has really screwed up my internal clock.

Roller coasters, well, I haven't been to an amusement park in a while, either. But they're pretty fun.

Buzz. Erm, you mean what I get from smoking the herb? :) That I like.

The Art of Code is way behind. Sorry for the late reply.

I posed those questions so I could see how your responses compare to my own attitudes:

Money is great to have. But you never have enough. A good substitute is garlic. Contrary to popular belief, there is such a thing as too much garlic.

Sex. I would think you'd have no trouble getting sex. The AOC now feels that alas, sex is wasted on the young. I used to pursue it as an end unto itself. Seemed like a good plan and it worked out pretty well. Now I feel pretty stupid for wasting all those wonderful women on just sex. (well ok, it was never a waste, and it was rarely just sex.)

Ice Cream & Chocolate are things I don't generally think about, but tend to consume in excess, given the opportunity.

Sleep is Heaven. My hero is the Sandman, Master of Dreams.

Roller coasters! Thank You Sir, may I have another?

Buzz. Take your pick, but whatever happened to smoking dope and dropping acid? God, life is so compicated now!
