Just when you think you're as stuffed as the chicken you just ate, along comes the chocolate-chip cookie-dough ice cream, and all of a sudden there's a little room left.

How does that happen?

It's because the satiety response works independently: you can be filled up on a salty food and still have room for something sweet.

According to the journal Appetite, it works for food textures, too.

Researchers at the University of California, Davis, compared responses to hard and soft versions of the same foods. For example, they compared the response to an apple with applesauce, or a ham and cheese sandwich on a baguette to the same sandwich on white bread.

They found that after eating a hard meal, people were less inclined to eat a hard dessert, and after a soft meal, they were less interested in a soft dessert.

i was very impressed by the entry you put on the Psybosilin group so i made you a friend afte rreading some of yoru info... buti'm a very eager fellow for some sleep so i'm not reading this entry as i type it.... just thoguht i'd letyou know

a quick warning before deciding to make m e your friend... i tend to rant and mostof my journals come as random thoughts that cometo my head as i type it... sometimes it's good, sometimes it's shitty and stupid, but it's usually all a little interesting, even then, it can be annoying... or at least, that's whati worry about
us artists are suppose to be self-consciense and insecure right?

that's what someone said once... i'm pretty sure they were a great artist or writer of some kind... yes... an author

i'm done

Thanks for the interest. :) (I've made several posts today--the one in psilocybin was about being perpendicular to reality, the same one I have posted in this main journal, right?)

Check out some of the other communities I'm a part of--many are very populated by interesting people and enlightening topics....
