What do you think about pancakes?
By the way, pancake derives from placenta, which in Latin means 'cake'. This puts a new spin on the colloquialism "a bun in the oven".

Date: 2010-07-29 01:16 pm (UTC)"Hotcakes" only seems to come up in the context of salesmanship. How come no one ever talks about buying them? Besides, they never appear to be that popular except in the morning. That doesn't seem very profitable as a marketing model.
Does anyone call them "griddlecakes" anymore?
