I like the term "flapjacks" but I never call them such in real life.

"Hotcakes" only seems to come up in the context of salesmanship. How come no one ever talks about buying them? Besides, they never appear to be that popular except in the morning. That doesn't seem very profitable as a marketing model.

Does anyone call them "griddlecakes" anymore?
