I need to learn more about myth.

I understand what motivated Joseph Campbell, now.

I always wanted to meet Joseph Campbell. Actually, I always wanted to drop acid with him in a dark cave somewhere.

I completely recommend his books. They are a little dated and as such I had issues with some sexist and racially obtuse language but I ignored this as best I could. At some points it was difficult though because Campbell tended to ignore woman-centric or Goddess-centric mythos. At least in the book I read.

I'm almost positive I have one of his books, and if I can find it, I'll lend it to you.

I really loved mythology and read as much as I could find in my public library as a kid. There's an illustrated book of Norse myths that I *adored*.

I'm currently reading Myths to Live By for a book report for my Myth, Magic and Folk Relgion class, and I'd highly recommend it. It's like $14 new at Borders if you can't find it at the library.

It's good to know he wasn't mythunderstood.
