field trip

I recently found out that lameautarch has never been to karaoke. Anyone in the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area up for a field trip? Blind Pig has karaoke on Monday nights, and there are other places that have it Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Saturdays. (I can't seem to find anyplace that offers it on Fridays.)

Yes, but I didn't sing. And I got a horrible headache because the bar we were at was very, very smoky.

Most karaoke bars are just that, bars. They make money selling cigarettes. I know how you feel. When I went to Billy Joe's Pitcher Show in Des Moines, I smelled like smoke every night.

The Belmark Lanes we went to before does it Thurs-Sun, I believe. Not the greatest place ever to offer karaoke, but if doing it on a weekend is important. . .

I'd prefer a place with more of a stage, but that would be a good place for a Friday night.
