I had a friend who was in Special Forces and he was talking to me about a disturbing questionaire that he was given. Mostly it was one question on the test that bothered him.

"Would you, under orders, fire upon US Citizens?"

I am not sure if that is the exact phrasing, but that is what it was asking.
