Judith Miller. How do I feel about her? I believe that her articles helped lead this country to war. For that, I have no sympathy that she is now spending time in jail. However, I am glad she did not reveal her sources. At the same time, if protecting her source means that she is obstructing justice, well, I don't know how to feel about that.

Either way, we need a federal shield law for journalists. Like, yesterday.

There's obviously some convolutions going on, why Novak is walking around free and Miller is not. Questions will be answered, I'm assuming, once the grand jury has concluded.

I have really mixed feelings about this. I agree that the over-riding principle is that we need to have protection for anonymous sources. OTOH, I can taste how badly I'd love to see Karl Rove's political career go down in flames...
