I keep fearing that I've wrung every poem out of myself, that there is nothing left to pen. *sigh* My writer's block seems to be tied to a self-esteem problem.

I may be especially feeling this way because it's been a couple days since I tried to bang anything out. But this is certainly not the first time this fear, unreasonable as it is, has assaulted my psyche.

It's funny, I almost never just sit down to write something. And then every so often, I just find myself composing something in my head, and then if I'm lucky I will write it down immediately. Those types of poems are usually very closely tied to current feelings or events, and I really enjoy going back to read them later in life.
