My boss has given me a task that deals with manipulating data in our database of contacts. This would be very easy for me to do if I were using Microsoft Access. However, we don't use Access here; we use ACT! 2000.

I'm trying to figure out how to export data from ACT! into Access, or import data into Access from ACT! But no dice so far.

He gave me this task a week ago. Admittedly, I've been a bit distracted at work lately, but still I feel like I'm slacking.

tab delimited files are your friend. I know Access handles those well.

Yeah, this is working very well! Thank you so much.

(My boss did ask me yesterday, the day he got back from vacation, if I had the data yet. So this will go a long way to making up my tardiness.)

If ACT and ACCESS won't speak with each other, is it possible that both might speak with Excel? Or maybe Lotus? Good luck.
