novapsycheJust got back from another pseudointerview, this time with Masterson Personnel.
The person I met there was nice, certainly. She said that I came highly recommended (yay for good references!) and that I had a "great background." The main problem with placing me in the position for which I'd applied is that my last handful of jobs have been temporary positions. And apparently the company that needs a sales secretary wants only people with a solid permanent work history. Well, that's funny. In a way.
It's not like I wanted to be a temp for the last several years. I didn't go to college to become a temp worker. That was certainly not in my plans.
Anyway, I tested really well in alphanumeric data entry, decently in the Powerpoint test (even though I really know next to nothing about Powerpoint), and fairly well in the Excel test (even though I know Excel much better than Powerpoint). Eh. The lady seemed impressed by my scores, though, and didn't think that I was asking too much for a salary.
So we'll see. In the meantime, I have more resumes to send.
