So, recently I saw Sideways with friends. It's a great movie. If you have no problem with a few curse words and would like to see a flick that features the adventures of a wine snob taking his friend on a week-long bachelor's party, this is the film for you. ([livejournal.com profile] zenrabbit, you'd probably like this a lot.)

I am officially (or perhaps merely euphemistically) "between assignments." I'm starting to lose confidence in my temp agency. As I semi-joked earlier today, "I filed for unemployment yesterday. They might get me an assignment when they're notified of the claim."

Today I attended a holiday party at my most recent place of employment. Everyone there seemed happy to see me again. My old boss said that she missed hearing my giggles in the office. A large part of the conversation dealt with the ingestion of various substances (one in particular). There was too much food for seven people. Then we had a gift exchange, and my gift turned out to be a 2005 calendar titled "Dubya Doublespeak." It's great! So I'll go from a staid 2004 Zen calendar to Dubya. Interesting juxtaposition.

I am again in this cold-ass library. Jesus Christ.

My Dad said that Sideways is a great movie too. I have not heard much about it but it sounds like it is worth seeing.

Bromine poison like a motherfucker going on here. I put away dex forever though. My latest post has all the gory details. Maybe you read it already but I know your internet conditions don't accomodate your social grace.

Are you sure you are experiencing bromism? I mean, there are certain tale-tell signs, like DXM pimples (as I've come to call them). But in general it's hard to tell.

I put away dex forever though.

If it's time, it's time. It seems like a good move for you. I hope your dad is understanding when he reads the post.

Well, I am not all that smart about chemicals, but I was under the impression that bromine poison is what makes you feel like a raw noodle for a few days after excessive use. Am I wrong?

Uh huh. I think I'm leaning towards the "when hell freezes over" at this point.

I suppose it would be tedious of me to suggest taking along a jacket for the library?
