This is a remake of a deck I constructed two years ago when playing [livejournal.com profile] zenrabbit daily. It uses mostly Odyssey cards, though this is now a Type I deck.

Blotch & Blemish

2 Beloved Chaplain
1 Venerable Monk
1 Spectral Lynx
1 Archangel
1 Radiant, Archangel
1 Silver Seraph
1 Valor
1 Glory
1 Seraph
1 Reya Dawnbringer
1 Wayward Angel
1 Angel of Retribution
1 Kismet

4 Buried Alive
4 Zombify
3 Stitch Together
3 Hymn to Tourach
2 Wicked Reward
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Strongarm Tactics
1 Soulshriek
1 Entomb
1 Ashen Powder
1 Twilight's Call
1 Ravenous Rats
1 Spirit of the Night
1 Visara the Dreadful
1 Stalking Bloodsucker
1 Repentant Vampire

1 Lifeline

13 Swamp
4 Plains
4 Tainted Field
1 Drifting Meadow

The deck puts creatures in the graveyard, then summons them out. Reya Dawnbringer is the best method of doing that. (Putting creatures in the graveyard is a quick and fun way to reach threshold, too, which makes the Stitch Togethers that much more useful.)

The deck previously suffered because it was too involved with itself and not much with other people. So I inserted some Hymn to Tourachs to balance things out (nothing like hand disruption to piss people off). Strongarm Tactics also makes people discard, and Ashen Powder is there to take the remains.

Wicked Reward is there just for surprise value.

I sure like having angels in my graveyard. I suppose most black mages would say that's where they belong.

Wow. I've got a clue of what about 10% of those cards do, max. I've played against reanimator decks, they're .. awkward .. to confront with a deck of cards from no later than 1998 or so. I've had fairly good luck with a mostly green fast-cast critter deck, as well as a slick hand destruction/deck destruction(read as braingeyser-fork) deck, but no luck at all with either my classic black center legends, or with an experimental armageddon clock-animate artifact-spirit link deck.
I've got another 3000 cards or so, I really ought to make another couple of decks, give my cousin a better challenge...

The important cards are:

Buried Alive. This card lets you search your library for three creatures and put them in your graveyard. (Entomb is an instant that does the same thing for one creature.)

Zombify. This takes a creature from your graveyard and puts it directly into play.

Reya Dawnbringer. This is a 4/6 angel whose ability is that at the beginning of your upkeep, you can bring a creature from your graveyard directly into play.

Other fun cards:

Visara the Dreadful. 5/5 flying; tap to destroy target creature.

Glory. 3/3 flying; if Glory is in your graveyard, you may pay 2W to give all of your creatures protection of the color of your choice until end of turn.

Wayward Angel. 4/4 flying; doesn't tap to attack; at threshold it gains +3/+3 and requires the sacrifice of a creature at upkeep.

Wow. glory = sick. Throw that into a brutal fast white deck, and you're ready for anything..
wayward is fairly brutal, too :)
