A friend of mine bet a pitcher of beer that Bush wins. So if he does win, he'll get a free pitcher and get blasted so he doesn't remember bush won.
And if Kerry wins, he'll be happy and won't care he has to buy someone a beer ;)
So, from that standpoint, I'll take your bet ;)
But, I got this premonition awhile back for Kerry in a landslide as well. And the press is going to eat it's own tail trying to 'figure out' how the polls were so wrong.
Ah, but if Bush wins, you'r going to need that dollar, because I think that If Bush gets in, your economy is going down the plughole. Actually the US economy is slowly going down the drain anyway. And I wouldn't want to take the last dollar off a friend who needs it in relocating to Canada.
A dollar isn't worth much these days anyway. By the time Bush is reelected (I hope that day doesn't come), the Canadian dollar will be worth more than ours. Or perhaps its value will simply come closer to the value of ours.
The US dollar is only worth the confidence of the people who use the currency. If people aren't confident in its value, it will diminish. This was the inherent risk of accepting an idea of money instead of establishing it as relative to a precious metal standard. Capitalism is a house of cards, or at least a shell game.

George W. Bush 56%
John Kerry 44% "
So according to that, I should take your bet, but I would feel dirty if I did so.
