Okay, so I deleted some stuff that showed up on my desktop; I ran ScanDisk, which turned up some RedHat stuff that shouldn't have been there, and I deleted those. I tried downloading Spybot, but it requires Win98, and I only have Win95. What should I do now?

You might try AdAware and/or Bazooka--I run Windows XP, so I'm not sure what the minimum OS requirements are, but I bet they're pretty minimal for Bazooka, at least, since it just tells you where stuff is and how you have to remove it, rather than doing it for you like AdAware does. It helped me get some stupid "eBates" thing off my machine just this week.

AdAware only goes back to the win98 requirement. not 95. i'm not too familiar with Bazooka, but from what i heard, it takes less than AdAware...
