it is waht I use to watch you in the shower. i mean it is programs that are installed on your computer that do a number of things. some just do constant pop up ads, some do shit like change your dialer to another number (often a for charge (976 style) number), some track your internet useage, some even track every keystroke you make. it is evil shit, indeed.
Spyware is often installed by websites that exploit vulnerabilities in your browser, by useful programs that don't mention their "extra features," or by those windows you sometimes see on sketchier websites that say "DO YOU WANT TO INSTALL AUTOMATIC TIME UPDATER CLICK "INSTALL" TO AGREE" or whatever.
Well, somehow I let some onto my computer. I can't imagine what site I could have visited or any window where I would have permitted a download. rikhei suggested I use Spybot to remove the software.
