I want the world to become
something I can stick my hand into,
a warm pool of water,
and pull out something hard and dry.
A colorful gnome, drops of spray
on his vest, and a dazed look
from being drawn from the underworld
and brought into the blankness of air.

Her face, so pillow-soft.
I love to land my hand there.
And the hollow of her hips,
I'll kiss as I hold her wrists.
Such a natural beauty. The role
of Nature: to fall before man.

I find both of them wonderfully evocative

Thanks. Part of my current problem is that I want to state something and am feeling an inability to elaborate. Also, when I start a poem, I immediately want to get out of it. So I guess my poems lately are short and (hopefully) succinct, but they're not as poetic as I'd like them to be.
