How the American people can be so stupid as to be led to ignore the goings-on of the last four years, I don't know. Bush does not know how to govern the country. Yet we're on the road to handing him the election. How did we get to this point?

though somewhat confounded, i do have some ideas.
we are a nation more emotionally battered than we were after Vietnam. our entire belief systems had been disrupted by that event. they were then again utterly disrupted by 9/11. everything comes faster now, and unless you have the time to monitor c-span 24-7, you dont know what's going on. this country has become a nation of manipulated veal. put me in a nice cage, where i dont have to move, cuz it might hurt my undeveloped muscles. feed me til i puke. fatten me up for the slaughter. then, kill my brain, but keep me alive long enough to watch the Superbowl, cuz i might get a booby shot, and then some good fried food as a reward. as a predictable response, i'll vote to not change this.
we have, IMO, become the most pathetic nation on the face of the earth. and we've sat by idly while a psychopath and his protective and rich family have pulled strings for years to make us this way. its not our fault, we can say when its all said and too late.

His speech at the convention and the convention itself was better than the democratic one. I wish everyone knew how they were being deceived, but you have to give credit to the Republican PR team. They kick ass.
