After all this, it seems there are really only two swing states: Ohio and Florida. It's going to be really annoying if rural Ohio commands the state.

Depending on who you ask, Pennsylvania and its 21 electoral votes also seems also to be on the edge.

What's involved in canvassing?

Rural Ohio

I grew up in Rural Ohio (Darke) and I predict - you'll be highly annoyed.

Historically, the (D) counties are the "metro" counties. For example, Montgomery County is very (D) while Darke, Mercer, Warren, Butler (surrounding "rural" counties) are heavy (R)'s

If you do canvas (and don't get me wrong, that's a good thing) I'd shy away from knocking on a farmhouse door in Darke County and proclaiming Kerry your personal savior.. you'll be in for a big suprise - these people work for a living, hard, hard work. They've got blisters to show for such work, not big bank accounts.

The facts are clearly moot.
