A whole weekend where I didn't update! This is because my main computer at home is basically on the fritz; the machine can only stand to be on for about 30 minutes before it starts to lock up. So I've switched out that computer with the one whose modem I can't figure out how to configure. I played a lot of Lords of the Realm II.

I had good intentions of going out to karaoke, but I didn't. But I may sometime between now and Thursday. Also, Wednesday there is a meeting at Barnes & Noble for people who write poetry, so I'm definitely going to that.

How was everyone's weekend?

amused, after reading US Texas Senator John Cornyn tried to explain the need to ban gay marriage in the context of the social harm that would accrue from allowing men to marry box turtles ("It does not affect your daily life very much if your neighbor marries a box turtle, but that does not mean it is right...Now you must raise you children up in a world where that union of man and box turtle is on the same legal footing as man and wife").

I'm wondering how that man got in office. He also had some dubious comments during the firestorm of the Abu Ghraib scandal.
