I fail to comprehend how the actions of any other group has an effect on what we as a nation can honorably do to fight back against those actions. It's not a comparative ratio; honor is honor, humanity is humanity. And as the Iraqis see it, they are simply trying to repel an imperialistic invasion which has taken place inside their borders. They are not the criminals in this case, whatever they have done- we are. Whatever they have done that is wrong, that we would not condone if it happened here, that the world would not condone anywhere, having learned of it, we wronged them as soon as the first uninvited American military foot took a step inside their boundaries. And now even many of those who were at first happy to see us want us out, as soon aspossible... and the puppet government that Bush is trying to set up to take charge, which isn't going to mean that we leave- we probably have at least another couple of years to go before we have withdrawn military forces entirely- is soon going to have people feeling nostalgic about Saddam, I can almost guarantee that- not because Saddam was a nice guy, but because our excesses and those of our puppets will be that much worse.
