I have a tagline (usually "Thank you for recognizing my rights as a pedestrian", sometimes with invective interjected here and there, depending on the severity of the offense), which I 'attach' to their rear bumper as a curse, with the intent of making it a magnet or attractor of bad karms. I've never heard of it having an efficacious result yet, but most of the time, it's not like I would recognize the vehicle/owner if I heard of them on the news or read about them in the newspaper, anyway. But it does make me feel better.
I don't wish ill toward other people. I don't believe in karma, but it seems to me that if karma did exist, wishing bad things on other people would be a dangerous thing.
As I see it, they already have bad karma coming as a result of not paying attention to the world around them, or feeling that they are that much more important, or whatever it is that makes them feel justified in barreling through the intersection just as I'm about to step out into their path. I'm not wishing a bad thing upon them; the bad thing is already coming; I am simply, for the benefit of my own amusement and rancor, designating a target for the bad thing when it gets there.
In short, if my little 'curse' works, I have done nothing to affect the balance of the situation, though I may have influenced the particular manner in which it plays out.
