Everyone at work seems to be on the warpath today. Maybe it's the dreary weather.

Speaking of unwarranted attacks, an analytical article in MSNBC talks about how the media is taking heat from the administration over the current coverage of the Iraq situation.

"Look, we're in a war and it's tough, and it's dangerous, and no one’s trying to put a smiley face on anything," he said. "But by golly, when you've got that many Iraqis, 100,000, now providing for their own security, where you have a Governing Council and a bunch of ministers, and you have a central bank and you have a new currency, and you have all the universities and colleges open, and the hospitals are open, and there was not a humanitarian crisis — sitting around wringing your hands and saying, 'It's horrible, it's horrible, everything's terrible,' is nonsense. It isn't all terrible. There's some darn good stuff happening."

Now I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but...
We're at war? Funny, I thought GW said the war was over a year ago.
The Iraqis are providing for their own securtiy? Then why are American troops there running everything?
Oooh, we can be so proud that the hospitals and colleges are back open. Let's conveniently not mention that the only reason they were shut in the first place is because we bombed the shit out of them.
Blame the media when you couldn't tell the truth if your life depended on it, yeah, that's the ticket!

We're at war? You couldn't tell by the way Americans are living at home. We're spending as conspicuously as ever. At least during WWII there was some sense of civilian sacrifice as well as military.

And why are we at war? Oh yeah, our president illegally took us there. So yeah, let's focus on the war, and how we got there.
