Oh, and speaking of lying, apparently it wasn't raining when Bush fell off his bike.

Back in the '70s, the Nixon White House passed off a story about a homemade cake ("an old family recipe") that turned out to be a cake made by the White House chef. It's these types of lies that show the general character of the resident of the White House.

And with that, I'm off to bed.

'Tis sad that we (or the people, actually) encourage this behavior.
A "regular person" ought to be able to be elected. Instead, people have a tendency to vote for the best liar.
No human is "above reproach." Yet they pretend to be, to get elected.

On the other hand, someone with a strong aversion to telling lies would probably not be interested in a job in politics.
