actually, I've heard from several midwives about women delivering 12+lb babies vaginaly, so a surgical birth isn't a given, with the right care and support.

I don't doubt it, but I'm pretty sure the medical care in Mexico isn't as good as it is here in the States.

damn, that is a big baby. i normally dont think that 75% of c section babies need tobe born that way, but i dont care how hearty you are, i would let them cut that beast out of me in a heartbeat!

i thought my 11 lb newphews were big. yeesh!

that's big, alright. and I certainly understand the c-section thing..though speaking as someone who _was_ an 11+ pound baby..delivered vaginally..natural childbirth..
it can be done. ;)
