Oral sex lessons to cut rates of teenage pregnancy

Encouraging schoolchildren to experiment with oral sex could prove the most effective way of curbing teenage pregnancy rates, a government study has found.

Pupils under 16 who were taught to consider other forms of 'intimacy' such as oral sex were significantly less likely to engage in full intercourse, it was revealed.

Britain's teenage pregnancy rate is the highest in Europe. In 2002 there were 39,286 teen pregnancies recorded. The government has spent more than £60 million to tackle the problem but so far failed to halt the rise.

A sex education course developed by Exeter University trains teachers to talk to teenagers about 'stopping points' before full sex.

Now an unpublished government-backed report reveals that a trial of the course has been a success. Schoolchildren, particularly girls, who received such training developed a 'more mature' response to sex.

One of the things I learned on my school Music Department's Canada trip was that a lot more people have sex in high school than most people think. Not a lot get pregnent. And if they do, then they have abortions. Because no one has at our school recently. There are lots of kids with STDs, though. But for some reason, sex has become a very casual thing among younger people.

i caught 6 girls over 2 years i worked with 12-15 year olds. of those 6, ALL were pregnant by the time i left the school. Oral sex doesnt do shit, it just puts off getting knocked up a few months.

I saw this great skit on MAD TV about Flintstones Birth Control Pills. The young daughter was like "Hey mom can have another" and the mother goes "Sure you can, just don't tell your father" and then, after the girl has left, she tells the audience, "Now I don't have to worry that my daughter is going on a camping trip and she's the only girl going!" God, I was laughing so hard. haha.
