Lots of people bring up "the problem of evil".
What is evil?
Can free will exist without the possibility of evil? (Of course, that brings up the question, "What is free will?" This is something I'm still struggling with.)
Let me quote from the Bible (which I do not recognize as the only religious authority, but is one with which I'm fairly familiar):
As I said in my own journal some time ago, this demonstrates the author's philosophy, that God is the creator of evil and uses it in God's plan. If this is true, how can one fight against that? One simply accepts the fact that evil exists and one lives life despite it.
I personally don't believe in evil. I believe that all things in the universe are of God, and that if evil does exist, even evil is a miracle.

who fans the coals into flame
and forges a weapon fit for its work.
And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc;...
