Marines' weapon loaded with 'scream'

US troops are to be armed with a stun gun that uses a baby's high-pitched scream to bring the enemy to its knees.

The gun, which will be issued to marines in Iraq this month, fires "sonic bullets" that can be targeted like a torch beam.

Anyone hit with a full blast would suffer excruciating pain, permanent deafness and some form of cellular damage. A prolonged blast could kill.

I was under the impression that the study of ultra-sound and other sonic weapons were prohibited and banned in the United States...I guess that may have only applied to the private sector.

Want to place any bets on how long it will take for them to start using this technology on us...assuming they haven't already? I am very dubious about these "volunteers" mentioned in the article.

Nothing is banned as far as this administration is concerned. We can assassinate anyone we please! Keeping folks in detention indefinitely? That's the American way!

And people have volunteered for the government many times in the past. Think of Tuskegee College and the CIA LSD experiments.
