Philip Glass's The Photographer is interesting. To be honest, I picked it up because it was $9.99 and I'd already had a CD in my hand that was $16. But I wanted to expand my Glass collection, so I made a purchase.

It's odd. The voice parts are odd, even for Glass. I believe this was composed pre-Koyaanisqatsi, and it seems the ghost of that is present in The Photographer. And the ending is so--I don't know! It trails off into the ether. But it's not off-putting. I don't know how to describe it.

I think it was priced correctly.

I'm mining your archives looking for true confessions about your "addiction" I guess.

But Philip Glass can't go without a comment. We saw him perform "Monsters of Grace" a couple years ago. Got his autograph on my "Heroes" CD.

Koyaanisqatsi was a trip. I knew not what to expect when we saw it many years ago. Though many of my friends did. They came prepared. Have you seen it?
