Mar. 12th, 2004 08:24 pmI'm back from social hour. It was okay.
One of my coworkers made a comment that is hard to explain without the back story, but basically she made a jab that I, of course, swallowed while responding with kindness.
Another coworker (who gets along well with me) took me home, and during the ride I plainly said, "I don't think Judy likes me."
"Why do you say that?" she asked. So I explained the back story and summed it up by saying, "I may be poor, but I'm not stupid."
Maybe that should be my new motto.
Edit: Check the comments for the back story.
