It isn't a popular notion to feel sorry for her, but I do have to wonder how much of the venom directed her way is specific to her being a successful woman. I'll withold sympathy until the sentencing though (unless I've missed that already?) as often upper class white collar criminals get off with very little actual jail time and just have to pay a bunch of money to someone.

She certainly should be punished. White collar criminals are criminals all the same.
