On the way to work (I had to take the bus, as my father's car broke down yesterday), I realized that I really have two birthdays now--my physical birthday and my spiritual one. This is the day I get cake and cards. That day, in July, is somehow more important.

myself, I look back on my life and note several "deaths of me" where who I was died, and a new (enlightened) self emerged...I'd have to pinpoint the first one to get another bday out of it though ;)
