I just watched the most unusual movie I think ever.

Liquid Sky.

About five minutes before it ended, I had to remind myself that someone actually had to have written this.

Acid movie more disturbing than The Cell. Wow.

And to think, ten minutes into the movie I thought I'd made a bad selection.

Edit: Liquid Sky's ending may redeem it from some peoples' standard of LotO.

ill have to rent that. I watched a movie that at least talked about LSD called "around the fire" that I think you'd really like.

Hey, check out my post in Religious Debate, I brought up the idea of "Christian reincarnation".

You might be the only friend of mine I would definitely recommend the movie to. [livejournal.com profile] renwick would like it, too, because it's a cult movie. It lends itself to visuals if you were taking a psychotropic substance, but you would need a a stern inner core to withstand some of the scenes in the film. Emotionally it's right up there with Requiem for a Dream (in certain scenes).

I've never seen a cheesy movie that had compelling sadomasochistic imagery. And that's all I have to say about that.

On another note, your post might get more response in [livejournal.com profile] challenging_god.

that should read

No, I haven't been on AIM in many years. I should probably get back on that, I suppose.

It's just hard to stay in touch with me. Even my close friends will attest to that. :)

I couldn't get all the way through that movie. To my detriment, I know...

I love Liquid Sky! That's just good, old-fashioned black comedy, there. Only as nihilistic as the 80s, i.e. mostly on the surface only.

I haven't seen this, but I haven't seen the Cell either - do you like that one? Since I've heard mix things about it. But I do want to see Vincent D'Onofrio..

The Cell is a visually stunning movie, which is why it's great for acid. . . but the subject matter and imagery are disturbing enough that only a few people should elect to watch The Cell while on a hallucinogen.

You might want to see it sober first.
