I was amazed to then read about it. But yeah, that's what happens: children raised together are not sexually attracted to each other. Only children who meet after age 5 or 6 are comfortable with exploring sexual relations with each other.
Siblings aren't attracted to each other because of proximity. That's the long and the short of it.
The incest taboo (really, more) seems to be one of circumstance, not of morality.
