I was worried that the folks at PFFA wouldn't like "Macaronica"; I was using them as a barometer for poems in my manuscript, and against my better judgment I posted the poem after sending in the application. But they liked it, for the most part. So I feel reassured about including it now.

I've been meaning to take part in the "100 Poems, 100 Days" challenge issued by [livejournal.com profile] sarenity, but I just haven't found the motivation to write again. It's been four months or so since I was writing with any regularity. I do want to get back in the habit. At the same time, I don't want to waste my time writing fluff poems. I hate fluff as much as I hate small talk.

We're supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow today. I'm definitely not looking forward to that.

This place might also help. You have to log in and get a user name, but that's easy and free.

General C&C. That's my usual haunt.

I've been at PFFA for over a year now. It's a slightly acquired taste.
