Can't say I've ever been a fan of her music, but I vaguely remember having heard of her while working at borders... wasn't she the one who several years ago made a comment something along the lines of she'd prefer to drown her children than have white people listen to her music?

I didn't hear anything about that. I don't even listen to her music. She had a video that was damn cool a few years ago, though.
