President Obama has accomplished something I did not know was possible. His tax cut "compromise" has had the effect of dampening my enthusiasm for consuming news. In fact, I don't think I've webcrawled for news in over a week.

This amazes me because I have been rather rabid about news, political news especially, ever since the dispute over the 2000 election.

*shrug* I just think the rest of Obama's presidency is a wash. Whether he sees that or not, well, that doesn't really matter. He's whittled away his power till now he's the Republicans' doormat. There's really no coming back from that.
