Interesting. There is a similar situation WRT prostate cancer. DHT or "bad testosterone" is associated with small non-agressive prostate cancer tumors, but estrogen is associated with large agressive prostate cancer tumors, and in the latter case DHT is often the estrogen suppressant of choice. There is some controversy over whether or not it is more effective to prevent tumors from appearing at all by prescribing DHT inhibitors that also shrink enlarged prostates.
