What constitutes a short poem? Obviously any piece with lines fewer than double digits would fit the bill. But beyond that, what is the standard? Would a sonnet qualify?

I would say a sonnet qualifies as a short poem. I would also say that anything within a single page length. With that said, I don't know if there's an 'industry standard.' I would be interested in other responses if you get any.

Thanks for the reply; I appreciate it. I think that a "standard" poem is around 25-30 lines, which I would agree is about page-length. So is half that a short poem? Is it 15 lines or 12? Or 10?

My thoughts are with you at this time.
