trying to argue with someone who doesn't believe in einstein's relativity is about as pointless as arguing with a birther who believes obama was born in kenya and there's a conspiracy.
first of all no matter how much you know, there is some document they have memorized that you never heard about and if you explain it, they think they know more than you. All they know is more about their conspiracy theory. Second, it takes a lot of work to go through all the twisty passages of their conspiracy theory and even if you do figure it all out and disprove it, they will have already heard your proof before and have a ready rebuttal.
the aether does not exist, because if it did, we would be able to tell how fast we are moving compared to "absolute rest" or the "absolute center" of the universe.
But there is no such thing as absolute time or absolute space. Scientists have never been able to measure "absolute time and space." All we have been able to find is our relative time and relative space. It's that simple to prove einstein was right, lorentz was wrong in assumption of ether, and einstein keeps being proved right again and again.
