Wow, there was a study. And here I was relying on common sense to know that texting while driving is a really bad idea.

Of course you and I know not to do such things. But policy is made with facts at hand, and it's nice that this has been documented so that texting while operating a moving vehicle can be outlawed.

I suppose we all bring our own biases, but the Gates case seems less about race to me, and more that Disorderly Conduct is a bullshit charge that essentially means a cop doesn't like you.
