AP source: Holder considering torture probe -- That would be interesting, and welcomed.

Greater Language Skills in 20s May Guard Against Alzheimer's -- I think this is more evidence that foreign languages should be offered to elementary students.

Torture probe? Do you hit them or poke them with it?

Do you know any foreign languages?

No, unfortunately. I took French in high school, but my teacher didn't really care if his students learned anything; I spent many days playing the French version of Monopoly.

In college, I took a semester of Spanish, and I passed by the skin of my teeth. I tried drilling info into my head using flash cards and such, but I was reluctant to use the A/V center, which I'm sure slowed my rate of learning. In the years since graduating, my understanding has collected much dust.

If the txtspk of the 20somethings I know is any indication, we're headed for a public health emergency in sixty years.
