Also, I want to use blueberries in a stew. Please let me know if you have any ideas and/or resources.

This recipe has some veggie elements, but the blueberries are not in the stew itself.

Thanks! I'm intrigued by the blueberry & buffalo stew but, as I'm living with vegetarians, that might have to go on the back burner (no pun intended).

I'm looking for a stew that feels like a regular stew (with vegetables) but also utilizes blueberries. I thought I found one recipe, in the first link of this entry, but I was mistaken.

(Sorry for all the edits, btw.)

maybe something with pseudomeat? I'm wondering if blueberries wouldn't add a nice tang to any veggie stew recipie. Loooooooveeee blueberries.

I'm generally not. I love the mulberry-blueberry recipe that I make, but blueberries themselves, especially plain, are not my thing. For some reason, though, the idea of cooking with them (as opposed to baking) interests me.

If you have any personal blueberry recipes, by all means please post them.

I'm intrigued! I'd love to know how it turns out if you end up making it.

look for recipes that call for red wine (or even better sherry) in a stew and replace one cup wine with a cup of blueberries + a few tablespoons of vinegar.

Thanks for the info! That does make sense, but I never would have thought of it.

Try making wat or some other African dish with blueberries instead of raisins.

I've never made Ethiopan before, and I've only eaten it once. I checked some wat recipes, but the dish itself seems to be spicy and does not use raisins. Any other specific dishes I should research?
