I missed a step in making my pie: I should have combined the berries with lemon juice. I instead added it on top of the sugar/flour mixture. That didn't satisfy me, so then I added a bit more. Then, I didn't know what to do. I thought about adding more sugar, but by that time, I had already topped the pie and crimped the crust.
*sigh* I'm really not one for tart, but hopefully it doesn't turn out too badly.
Edit: This was not the best pie I've ever made. First, I pulled it out too soon, so I had to let it bake longer. Then, when I tasted it, I felt a crunch; not all of the sugar had melted. I knew that the pie looked a little thin (i.e., not enough berries), but I didn't know that would happen.
I have learned much today.
