Orson Scott Card. I have yet to read any of his work. (I know!)
He's said some things about democracy, homosexuality, and marriage. Keep in mind this was published by the Mormon Times.
In response,
pnkrokhockeymom points to
jimhines' I For One Welcome Our New Gay Overlords as well as
scalzi's No Fair! You’re Saying What the Amendment Does! (Actually, regarding the latter, I think that had that happened in Michigan, Proposition 2 would never have passed.)
These people have said pretty much all that I would have attempted--except this one thing. The final paragraph (other than being 'the "get-out-of-rape-free" card', as
scalzi said) seems to encourage Americans to desire (at the least) or act (at the most) to see the demise of the Constitution. Last I checked, that was treason, or at least the hint of it.
