I think it's ridiculous that people are calling for him to be fired. Yes, Savage is an ignoramus (though in this case, I share his concern over the way children with behavioral issues are diagnosed,) but he is entitled to his opinion. It is still legal to be wrong and trumpet it to the masses. He's not an authority. He's a radio deejay. If he's not being controversial, people would turn the dial and listen to someone else who is. If people are allowing his opinion to shape their own, the problem is a lot bigger than some guy on the radio spouting off.

Everybody in the U.S. has the right to free speech.

No one has the right to a microphone to broadcast it over the airwaves, however.

If the airwaves were still part of the public trust, as they were originally, I might be able to argue this point. ;)

Perhaps. However, I think the argument would have to concede that everyone should have access to the airwaves.

No one is guaranteed a stage for one's opinions.

I thought it was Dan Savage at first. I was thinking, "why is Dan talking about austic children?"
