That there was sexual tension between them. You know, the two of them alone, no one around, a black man and a white woman.

I have to admit, I considered that too, when I heard they met in private. However, in my mind, it had nothing to do with race - not even gender, really, although gender did enter my head. It's just that I've skirted slashy fandom for so long that I would have imagined this about any two people in that situation that went out of their way to meet privately. If it had been Dubya and Kerry, I would have imagined it in just as vivid a technicolor.
